LAVENDER COCONUT SALT SCRUB ~ MOTHER'S DAY SERIES
I do not know about you but there's nothing quite like giving your skin a good scrub. You can get all that nasty dry skin off by exfoliating. However, a good scrub can be expensive. Plus they are filled with preservatives and chemicals that you do not need to use or rub into your skin.
I seriously am getting into making my own products for my body. I love the fact that I can control just exactly what I use and if you have sensitive, dry or other issues with your skin this is a great way to take care of your body better.
Again like so many things I make this is simple and I have all the ingredients on hand. Plus this would make a great Mother's Day gift to the Mom in your life.
Three ingredients are all you need. Coconut oil. lavender essential oil and Epsom salt.
LAVENDER COCONUT SALT SCRUB
Ingredients
- 1 C Coconut oil
- 1/2 C Epsom salt
- 5 to 7 drops of lavender essential oil
Directions
- Add the coconut oil and Epsom salt into a bowl and mix well
- Add the lavender essential oils to your mix and stir together.
- Store in an air-tight container.
Is that not incredibly easy? You can make this in no time at all for a nice gift and Mother's Day is Sunday.
Just be careful though when you use it in the shower, coconut oil is slippery. You do not want to fall.
I love simple DIY products. Epsom salt is a magnesium booster and it will break down when you shower and help your cells produce energy. Stay tuned for a blog post about all the great usages of Epsom salt.
ENJOY!!
