HOW TO DEHYDRATE GARLIC

I have said many times I love garlic.  I love cooking with garlic.  I keep a bag of peeled garlic in my fridge almost all the time.  I also have bulbs of garlic on hand.  I normally even have Roasted Garlic on hand as well.  Garlic is just so tasty and useful.

Garlic is also beneficial to our health.  Here are 6 ways.
  • Garlic does not have many calories.
  • Garlic is helpful in weight loss.
  • Garlic will help lower your blood pressure.
  • Garlic can even help lower your cholesterol.
  • Eating garlic might help to detox your body of heavy metals.
  • Garlic has antioxidants that help with dementia and Alzheimer's.
Since I have peeled garlic on hand and just sometimes I do not use it quick enough, itis perfect to dehydrate.  Half the work is already done for me.  Meaning, I did the peel work earlier.

Dehydrating garlic is so easy to do.  All you have to do is peel your garlic cloves and slice or chop them.

Lay them out on your pan.

Put them in your dehydrator.

Set them to 125 degrees and let them dry.  Normally it takes around 8 hours but they might have to go longer depending on humidity and such around your home.

 How simple is that?

Afterwards, you have nice pretty dried garlic.  You can use it as minced dried garlic or you could make garlic powder.  I am telling you it is so much better than dried minced garlic or garlic powder you buy.

Keep it in an airtight container and it can last months.  I normally keep spice bottles that I have purchased and just refill them. I mean, after all, they are already labelled.

Happy Sunday!!

ENJOY!
